Anime cel print
The cel print, derived from Space Battleship Yamato (late 1970s), shows the crew assembled before their next journey. Their stillness carries the calm before motion—an image of collective purpose and silent resolve. Printed with layered pigments, the work retains the warm amber tones and crisp lines of its original frame, holding the balance between human emotion and mechanical precision that defines Yamato.

Medium: Studio cel print on acetate, printed background of the original scene on paper
Dimensions: 20 × 29 cm

Obi
Formed from two sections of the same Nishijin-woven obi, the textile backdrop merges red, blue, and gold threads into a field of quiet movement. The mirrored pieces create a sense of expansion and depth, enhancing the scale of the scene. The weave’s rhythm and color echo the momentum of the departing crew, allowing the fabric to carry the same forward energy as the image it holds.

Medium: Nishijin-woven silk obi (back side, two joined sections)
Dimensions: 30 × 40 cm (framed)
